Understanding the Artist's Creative Process

My creative journey is a path filled with discovery, trial, and expression. It is not a straight line but a series of steps that shape the final work. I want to share insights into this process. This will help you appreciate the art more deeply and understand the effort behind each piece.

Most of the artists starts with an idea. This idea can come from anywhere - a feeling, a memory, or a simple observation. I personally never have any idea of what will happen when touching the blank canvas for the first time. I begin with listening music. The spirit of the music filters in my heart, and then I get in a mood. I never choose deliberately, I love surprises so I just put on a playlist and let it go.

I never plan, never set goals and do not really prepare any colours in advance: I let my intution live and conduct.

The actual creation is where the journey becomes physical. During painting time flies...It takes weeks to finish a painting: for example I paint for an hour then rest. Then I come back to my work and so I try to meet the painting with fresh eyes. I am in a constant communication with my work: where do I need to "overwrite" the story? What colour is the painting asking for? Or even which part do I love already?

This cycle of creation and review continues until the work feels complete. For me it is the point when no more adjustment is needed. At the beginning it was hard for me to decide but now I learned how to feel this: "stop, I am ready, do not say anything more"

For those interested in abstract art, like my own, focus on the feelings the piece creates. Abstract works often express inner worlds rather than clear images. This makes the creative process even more important to understand.

In my work, I use the process to express emotions and ideas that are hard to put into words. The journey from concept to completion is a way to communicate my inner world.

I invite you to explore this journey with an open mind. Appreciate the effort, the choices, and the emotions that go into each creation. This connection makes art more than decoration - it becomes a shared experience.
